Here in New Jersey, Italian culture influences everything. It wasn't until I moved out of state that I realized it's not the norm to have a pizza shop on every corner.

The Italian American cuisine I grew up on has been adapted from the mass amount of Italian immigrants that settled here, including my own family.

This is my collection of classic Italian American recipes, like my family's famous Sunday Sauce (aka sugo or gravy), as well as some fun modern twists on the tried and true recipes we all know and love.
