- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes or to taste
- ½ teaspoon sugar or honey
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
In a medium bowl or a mason jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid, combine the olive oil, vinegar, oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper, sugar, salt and pepper.
Whisk or shake vigorously until the sugar and salt dissolve, and the dressing is well combined and emulsified. Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
Keep refrigerated in a sealed container for up to a week. Separation is natural, so shake well before each use.
